English II/II Honors

English II is a sophomore level course that includes reading selections from around the world. This course is structured by literary genres including the short story, drama, poetry, nonfiction, myths and legends, and more. In addition, there is a strong focus on written composition.  English II is a STAAR tested subject area which includes demonstrating competency in the areas of reading comprehension, short answer response, revising and editing, and persuasive writing.

In art, students explore working with a variety of mediums such as pencil, pastel, plaster, clay, watercolor, acrylic paint, ink and more to create unique, one of a kind studio projects. In addition, students will research and analyze the artwork of famous artists and well as art history.
