English II, English II Honors, Art I - IV, UIL Coordinator

Quote to Live By

I am a former Weimar Wildcat and I bleed purple and gold!  I teach English II, English II Honors, and Art I-IV. In addition, I am the UIL Coordinator and I coach UIL Poetry, Prose, and Copy Editing. I attended Southwest Texas State University (Texas State) and graduated with a major in English and a minor in Health Wellness and Promotion.  This year will be my 20th year in education and my 17th year at WHS.

As an educator, I truly believe that the learning process should be enjoyable.  As a life-long student, I have learned that if my students enjoy themselves in my classroom, they are much more likely to remember the curriculum.  I also believe that we never stop learning.  My goal as a teacher is to teach beyond the state required curriculum by challenging my students to think for themselves and expand their views of the world beyond my classroom walls.
