Hello everyone! My name is Mrs. Konvicka and I am starting my 4th year of teaching here at Weimar Elementary. I graduated from University of Houston-Victoria in 2016. This is my first year teaching 3rd grade and I am very excited to start this school year with you!

My husband and I got married June 20 of this year and we have a cat named Pipsi! I enjoy watching TV/Movies, fishing, traveling and eating chocolate. I collect salt & pepper shakers! So far I’m at around 70 sets!

Hi! My name is Ellen Luchak and I am so excited to be teaching in Weimar this year! I graduated from Texas Lutheran University in 2010 with my Bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies and graduated from the University of St. Thomas with my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership with my Principal’s Certificate. I am beginning my 11th year in education. My first 10 years of my career were in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. During that time, I taught 3rd grade ELAR and self-contained and 2nd grade ELAR and Math/Science. I was also out of the classroom for 2 years as the Primary Instructional Coach helping new teachers and then moved into the ELAR Instructional Specialist position where I worked with teachers PK-2 with curriculum and planning.

My husband Mark and I decided we wanted to raise our 3 year old son, Cooper, in a small town and relocated to Weimar. My husband grew up coming out here to visit his grandparents and we have always loved it out here! We are excited to be living out here and part of the Weimar community.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, being with my family, baking, exercising, and being outside. I love coffee, Diet Coke, Peanut M&Ms, and trail mix of any kind.

In Math this year we will be using a variety of resources. Below I have listed some of these to access them at home!

Education Galaxy:

This year in Reading we will be using different online resources to help support our students.
