What's happening at Weimar ISD

December 4, 2020

Weimar has experienced a positive case of an individual that works in our HS/JH cafeteria.  This morning we canceled the serving of breakfast to sanitize the entire kitchen area and are strictly following guidelines form the health department, to insure the safety of our students.  The contact tracing and procedural reviews confirms that masks and gloves were worn properly at all times, during food preparation and distribution.  Out of an abundance of caution, we will be preparing all of our lunches at the Elementary and transporting them over in individualized boxes, for the next 2 weeks.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the Superintendent at 979-725-6306 or visit our website at

Following the Commissioner of Education's meeting with state superintendents this afternoon, Weimar ISD has released plans for a strong start to the 2020-2021 school year. Please note that these plans are subject to change at any moment with the current, evolving pandemic. Also, please note that a parent/guardian survey will be posted to the Weimar ISD webpage next week for input in regards to each family's plan for their student(s)' return to school, whether that be in-person or virtually. The survey will also request information in regards to your family's technology needs and home accessibility. Stay safe Wildcat Family. Enjoy the remainder of your summer. We love you all!!

As of 10-29-2020 All Weimar ISD Campuse have moved their COVID status to CODE RED. All students at WISD, regardless of what grade they are in, must wear a face mask or shield. After two weeks, the district will re-evaluate.

Please refer to the COVID Color Chart below.
